Barabara,

Please! Please! advise me if you can.  My brother recently passed away with a rare cancer and very late diagnosis due to baffled doctors... they had very little time to plan -- it took him so fast.  They did not carry life insurance.  When he died last September, my sister-in-law called their mortgage lender and told them that her husband had passed away, and since the payments now had to rely on her income, she asked if they could lower her payments.  Her lender told her not to make any payments, and wait until they review her situation and they would get back to her.  She did as they advised, and low and behold, the next time they contacted her, they told her they were going to foreclose on her house.

Is there anything she can do?  My brother's terminal cancer left her with alot of medical expenses as well.  Not only is she devastated at the lost of my brother (like we all are) she has been told she is going to lose everything they have worked for (over 30 years of marriage).  I feel just awful.

I would appreciate any direction.  Can the new stimulas package help her?

Thank you.
